064 Ice Bath

Week 30:1

Cryotherapy is a medical treatment used to help with the prevention of RSI and is very popular with masseurs. It involves immersing your body (or a part of your body) in ice water for about 5 minutes. The numbness then helps to flush that part of the body with new blood and therefore helps to keep it healthy.

I did my hands and arms. It was a weird experience. My arms were quite sore as they went numb but once they were numb there was no pain at all. When I removed my arms and they started to warm up they felt very "light".

Thanks to Simon Rells for his expertise and for making sure my arms didn't fall off.

Comfort: Freezing cold water
