021 Survive a Spin Class

Week 10:1

Spin Bike Classes - Indoor cycle training on stationary bikes. Riders follow the instructor on a simulated ride incorporating seated, standing climbs, flats and sprints. A variable intensity options provides great fun and enjoyment.

Well the time had come to try a Spin class...with a workmate there to laugh at me (and for proof that I did it) - I was ready to go. Some people have told me it's one of the hardest classes they have done or ‘torture on wheels’ so I was slightly nervous. After taking a while to get use to the ‘variable intensity’ dial, the pace of the class and the amazing amount of sweat running down my face I think I was starting to get the hang of it. 45 minutes later when the class had finished sweat was still running down my face, I was still getting the hang of the ‘variable intensity’ dial but I did have the great feeling of accomplishment (or maybe it was lack of oxygen).

I wouldn't recommend it for everyone but if you give it a go you will definitely feel the difference.

Comfort: The fear that the bike will never stop "spinning".
